Potential Problem Statements

Option 1: High school seniors know that they must apply to college, but are frequently unaware of how to do so. They need to know how to apply easily and successfully without being stressed. The proposed guide will teach them tips for applying that will decrease stress.

Option 2: High school seniors would like to successfully apply to college with the least amount of stress. However, many students are unaware how to apply in an unstressful manner. The proposed manual will alleviate much of their stress by providing suggestions and tips.

Option 3: The college application process is often very confusing for high school seniors. This is unfortunate because it can cause unneeded stress that often makes their already busy schedules more hectic. The proposed manual will reduce the stress associated with the college application process through the introduction of strategies to make the process easier.

I think that the third problem statement sums up y'alls proposal idea the best. It was more elaborate than the other two, and I felt it captured the idea very well. It flowed well when reading.

also, it sounded more like a student had written it, which i think is what your proposal idea is going for.

Problem statement number 3 is the best one. It clearly states the problem and provides more detail than the other two. Problem number 1 statement is concise; however, not as informative as number 3. Therefore, if you weren't closely associated with the project the purpose may be unclear. Problem statement number 2 ranks last because the structure makes the statement confusing. It is hard to follow logically because it does not flow well.

I like the third statement the best. I would recommend however referring to your audience. You are trying to draw them into using your service so make them want it! :)

I liked number 1 because it most directly got to the point.
